Cybersecurity & AI Security training, inside a real cyber range.

Tech Cyber Cop — the Technical Research Lab of Bijoy Capital Institute of Professional Learning (BCIPL) — is a cybersecurity training institute and research lab. We train engineering students, working professionals and universities to attack, detect and defend — hands-on, on the same tools enterprise SOCs use.

Why Tech Cyber Cop

Four things that make this program different

  1. 01

A real cyber range, not slides

Every batch trains in an isolated Red / Blue / Cloud lab with synthetic data. 35% of class time is hands-on; you leave with evidence, not notes.

    Wireshark · Burp Suite · Wazuh · Splunk · Prowler · Kubernetes

  2. 02

    Cybersecurity + AI security together

A full month on AI/ML for defense, prompt injection, RAG poisoning and AI-assisted SOC — the risk surface most institutes have not started teaching.

NIST AI RMF · OWASP Top 10:2025 · secure RAG project

Graduate with proof, not just a certificate

Three capstones from the handbook, plus one major industry project — six phases, real deliverables, panel-reviewed.

01

Capstone 01

Build a Mini Enterprise SOC

Deploy telemetry, write detections, investigate simulated incidents, map to ATT&CK, measure detection performance, present to management.

02

Capstone 02

Secure a Cloud-Native Application

Security gates across Git, CI/CD, containers and Kubernetes: SAST, SCA, secrets scanning, container scanning, IaC review, DAST, cloud posture.

03

Capstone 03

AI Cybersecurity Analyst

An AI-assisted workflow that summarises incidents, correlates evidence and recommends analyst actions — with human approval gates and evaluation against ground truth.

Major industry project

The process every student goes through — six phases, in order

One end-to-end engagement on a simulated enterprise, assessed like real consulting work. Start at phase 1, finish with a panel viva — and leave with a portfolio, not just a certificate.

Runs alongside the 24-week program · reviewed by a panel

  1. 01Phase

    Asset discovery & baseline

Map the environment and its normal behaviour.

You produceAsset inventory + network map

  2. 02Phase

    Vulnerability assessment / VAPT

Authorized testing, findings rated by CVSS.

    You produceVAPT report

  3. 03Phase

    SOC monitoring & investigation

Write detections, triage alerts, build incident timelines.

You produceDetection rules + incident timeline

  4. 04Phase

    Risk prioritisation & remediation plan

Rank findings by business impact, propose fixes.

    You produceRemediation roadmap

  5. 05Phase

    Executive dashboard & report

KPIs and a report written for non-technical readers.

    You produceDashboard + executive report

  6. 06Phase

    Presentation + viva

Defend your findings in front of a review panel.

    You produceCapstone presentation

Every student leaves with

  • Sanitised project reports
  • Architecture diagrams
  • Detection examples
  • Automation scripts
  • Dashboards
  • Capstone presentation

For students

A portfolio you can open in an interview — real artefacts from a project run like client work, not a certificate alone.

For university management

Assessable evidence per student for accreditation, placement cells and department reviews — reports, diagrams and a viva.

What you get

Everything is built to produce one outcome: a defensible security professional with proof of work.

Practitioner-led classes

Trainers with hands-on industry experience in security operations, testing and cloud — not just certification holders.

Framework-mapped curriculum

NIST CSF 2.0 · NICE · MITRE ATT&CK · OWASP Top 10:2025 · NIST AI RMF · CIS Controls.

Job-ready portfolio

Sanitised reports, detections, automation scripts, dashboards and a capstone deck you can show in interviews.

Interview & viva preparation

Domain-wise viva questions, mock interviews and executive-style presentations from Month 1.

Frequently asked questions

Who is eligible for the 6-month industry program?

It is designed for 3rd and 4th year B.Tech / B.E. students from CSE, IT, ECE and related branches. Working professionals and recent graduates are also welcome; we run separate batches where schedules differ.

Do I need prior cybersecurity knowledge?

No. Month 1 covers networking, Linux, Windows, Python and security fundamentals. Basic programming familiarity helps but is not mandatory — the foundation track is built for beginners.

Is training online or in a classroom?

Both. We run classroom batches in Kolkata and live-online batches for the rest of India. Every batch gets access to the same isolated cyber range.

I work full-time. How much time do the specialist tracks need?

Specialist tracks run 4–8 weeks with weekend and evening options. Expect roughly 6–10 hours a week including lab work.

Is ethical hacking training legal?

Yes, when done the way we teach it. All offensive exercises run only against systems inside our isolated cyber range with written authorization. We never scan or attack public targets, and every student signs an authorized-use policy.

What is the Research Lab?

A lab environment for university students, faculty and professionals to work on applied security problems — AI/LLM security, detection engineering, cloud-native security and DFIR — with mentorship and cyber-range access.

Can our college run this program on campus?

Yes. We offer a phased rollout: a 1-day awareness workshop, a 7-day hands-on workshop, a 4-week foundation program, 6–8 week specialised tracks, the full 6-month program and project/internship pathways. Faculty enablement is included.

What are the fees and when does the next batch start?

Fees depend on the track and delivery mode. Book a free lab session or call us and we will share the current batch calendar and fee structure.
